XL Series HV Coil Winding Machines
HEAVY DUTY HV COIL WINDING MACHINE WITH FULL WIDTH INTERLAYER INSULATION ATTACHMENT
XL Series Heavy Duty HV coil winding machines are designed to wind High Voltage coils of oil cooled distribution and medium power transformers with full width interlayer insulation and end fill attachment.
These machines are optimised to wind HV coils of medium power transformers with wires/strip conductors for rectangular, round, and oval shaped coils.
These machines are provided with full width interlayer insulation attachment with manual cut-feed option.
XL Series machines incorporate all features of automatic machine with exception of automatic paper cut-feed system.
MACHINE DESIGN
The High Voltage coil winding machines are designed with advanced state of art technology to perform continuous high quality winding with modular components.
A complete machine comprises the following main components:
- Main winding head
- Conductor traverse unit
- Interlayer insulation feeding
- End filling/edge strip feeding
- Tension control system
- Control system
MAIN WINDING HEAD
Single spindle side loading type with direct shaft driven Asynchronous Geared Motor of continuously variable type, through close loop precision Machine Controller.
CONDUCTOR TRAVERSE UNIT
Traverse unit with Low Backlash and high precision ball screw mounted on high precision guide ways tray to accommodate round conductor with programmable tension control system. Close loop AC servo motor controlled traverse system incorporates absolute encoder feed back with power outage backup during winding.
INTERLAYER INSULATION FEEDING
Full width paper insulation is fed manually by operator. Paper cutting is manual based on the length of each layer.
END FILLING/ EDGE STRIP FEEDING (Optional)
Manual sticking of edge strip by operator is done on both sides of coil. Machine is programmed to calculate the winding turns/winding length and stops automatically to permit manual cutting and re-insertion of insulation paper and sticking of end strips.
TENSION CONTROL SYSTEM
Programmable type stand-alone type Tension control system for round conductors with close loop AC servo tension controller for precise tension control.
CONTROL SYSTEM
Programmable Logic Controlled System with AC Servo drives with 10” touch screen based colour operator interface.
